I am a visitor

I like walking, discovering, observing and learning about places, artists, history... I like knowing more about Mataró: because I live there or because I do tourism there. Anyway, I want to discover it again and admire its places filled with history, art and nature. I like guided tours or learning on my own, and I like visiting its museums and art galleries: a showcase of a city's culture, history and artistic vitality.

I can visit the Mataró Museum where, a part from exhibitions with an informative intention about specific subjects, I can visit the remains of the ancient Iluro, the roman city hidden under our feet. A clear example is the roman Villa of Torre Llauder, which can be visted in the afternoon during the weekend and holidays. And if I prefer contemporary art I can find out about the exhibition program in the exhibition rooms of Can Palauet or Espai f, or visit Ca l'Arenas, the arts centre of the Mataró Museum.
