Platja del Varador is situated between the breakwater of the old Nautical Club and the Port of Mataró. It is 765 meters long and has an average width of 125 meters. It is a family and sports beach and is one of the city’s most emblematic beaches due to its proximity to the city center and its size.

Platja de Sant Simó extends from the Riera de Sant Simó to the area of the Castell de Mata Hotel. It is approximately 1,000 meters long and has an average width of 30 meters up to the Civil War bunker and, from there, is 5 meters wide with areas that may disappear as a result of the dynamic movements of the coast. This beach is less urban in nature than Mataró’s other beaches and is divided into an area for family use and a nudist area.
